For all you creative types:
craft a logo that captures the spirit of PUL!
PUL’s current logo was created by co-designing team Cam Taylor and Ken Hoard to commemorate the indigenous emblem used by the Canoe Museum. Although it has served PUL well for many years with its seven ultimate players, lined up, ready to pull the disk-shaped piece of plastic that we’ve all come to know and love, Cam has proposed its retirement in response to our more culturally aware era and the board agrees.
And so, to replace the old logo, we are looking to you, the members of PUL! We hope some of you will put on your creative caps, and come up with some amazing designs. Once we have those, we’ll put them to the Membership to vote!
Details and Timeline:
- While submissions may include multiple colours, any successful logo will need a monochrome version. We need to be able to print on shirts, letterheads, etc.
- Remember that PUL is all ages, and any submission will need to be used widely and publicly.
- Eventually we will need a vector file of any submission, though I don’t think we need this as an initial submission.
Logo submissions will be accepted now until Monday February 3rd, 2020 @ 5:00pm. They will be compiled and anonymously distributed to the PUL membership who will vote for the logo that they feel best represents PUL.
PUL’s new logo will be announced during the April AGM.
Submissions:
All submissions and questions can be sent to Dorothea Hines AKA Ted. Feel free to send an email to the same email address if you have any questions or concerns re: PUL’s logo.
