Thurs Night Playoffs Begin This week

First round of playoffs begin this week - based on the current standings here are the matchups:

Burning Sensations vs. Urine The Cup - Trent River

Oh The Places You'll Throw vs. PUL My Finger - Trent Forest

Mighty Mojitos vs. Gravity - Bridgenorth 1

Disc Functional vs. Retro Rhinosaurs - Bridgenorth 2

Since the top four teams get a by this week, the winners of these games will play the top four next week. The losing teams can continue to play each other the next few weeks for fun.

The following top four teams can play "Just for fun" games this week:

Diamond Dogs vs. Disco Inferno - St. Pete's

Stimulus Package vs. Greyhounds - Lakefield

Also note that the finals will take place under the lights at the East Gate field (across from Beavermead) on Thursday, September 2nd. See you there!

Week of May 17

Uh, don't get used to this weekly update business. Just want to get everyone on the right track, and we're nearly there.

TUESDAY - walk through games at our two field locations, Bridgenorth and Trent Eastbank, so please be sure you're going to the right spot.

WEDNESDAY - Keep moving along citizens, nothing to see here... as you were

THURSDAY - Much of the same

PUL Discs should be arriving this week, so we'll get people out to sell them on respective evenings. Best to let your captains know if you'd like one, as they'll let the league coordinator know, and magically, discs will probably appear. Four different colours this year: white with black PUL stamp; light blue with black stamp, dark red with white stamp and black with white stamp. $12 is the price. Cash over the barrel. Exact change expected and appreciated. I'll try to get some shots of the discs posted once they arrive. Do your Christmas shopping and cottage warming gift-buying NOW!
